Its been awhile ibu wanted to upload this picture so that it can become one of your memorabilia of your pre-school days in Muscat Oman, in case the scanned copy we have went corrupted over the years.

I remember having all your classmates fullname but somewhere somehow the list is nowhere to be found. Ill try to update again InshaAllah. It seems like all your classmates were present but the class teacher suppose to be Ms Zakiya. Miss Zakiya taught you arabic and islamic studies, while Ms Saida actually taught you math and english. You also have abla Muna who taught you corner class and Ms Fernanda who taught you science.

The cold n flu n cough season are back..so the adik has been 2 days at home recuperating...so officially yesterday was his 1st day being absent from school. Pity him .. a severe cough shaking your little body.

The abang on the other hand come home today chirping like a bird and telling me that he has something for me and adik.... a letter from school for ibu and tadaaa a very small truck toy for adik and a small car for himself. He said the teacher gave it to him as he has been very good at school and teacher gave him hadiah. mmmmm...im  abit skeptical about this but i dont want to have 'buruk sangka' on him..all ibu can do is to pray that you did not and will never ever steal from school or from your friends at school. Truth/ lie is still a mystery concept on him i guess. So ill be giving a watchful eye on this.

As fr me its my 4th day of shawal fast..inshaAllah ill finish it on the 29th of shawal..just in time...been very tired lately and when adik is sick, the lack of sleep makes this tiredness even worst.

And a quick note on the driving test yesterday...i failed again...huwaaaa.....but atleast i didnt feel cheated or zalim/unjustly treated...the police say im not good enough....and need practice and inshaAllah i will succeed next time...shwaiya shwaiya he said...im not sad though takpelah...there will be next time inshaAllah.

Update entry on Adik N Abang pt2

Today will try update again on adik progress at school. Its been 2 weeks adik in school...the 1st wed, sat, sun, monday ibu was there getting into the bus and waiting at the office there at school waiting incase unwanted scene to happen but Alhamdulillah all good...although the adik cry his heart put on that sat,sun ..but AlhamdulillAllah monday you were ok until now there is no more episode of crying that ibu heard of. But still in these past 2 weeks its been like 4-5 times you pee pee at school and come back wit the different set of cloth i prepared. Ibu is still sighing about this toilet training wit adik...1 week you progres very good and the next week we are back to square one....ibu just hope the teacher have the patience with you my dear son as you can be very stubborn when it comes to your wish of NO NO and NO nonetheless you are the youngest in the class..half of them are 3 yrs old and another half approaching 3 in 2-5 month time.


Abang grew so much..ibu realizes this when you sleep last night as how much you have grown....no more my little baby..you are a very tall kid now.But abang still manage to make me lost my temper very quickly..last few days we found a piece of playdoh in your ear...we know you put it there yourself as ive caught you many times doing that...but manage to stop you always... dont know when this happen but AlhamdulillAllah  we noticed it and went to hospital...and no serious injury or infection happen .


Abang have indeed out of pampers for good since my last entry....you are all dry and Alhamdulillah not once bed wetting scenario happen. As for school you have done very good... Abang is all ready for school on the 1st day....all gear up and when i left you in your class you smile and bye bye me as there is playdoh on the table for you to play with your new friends. You are now in KG2/ RC and few days ago you come home showing how to write 'a' .. you say teacher say this is the right 'a'..an 'a' which indeed like the English/American wrote....but ibu never likes their type of writing..cursive and big...ewww...but inshaAllah you will have a good and neat writing. Still no homework and ibu miss to help you with your homework so that i know what you are learning there.


Anway another day goes by and still many things ibu did not manage to accomplish with you both..May Allah make it easy..Allahumma Yassir Wala TuAssir.

School reopening

Assalamualaikum wbt to all

I found myself wanting to write about the big event that gonna happen tomorrow. New school session is beginning and Adik wil go to school at the age of 2 yr 5months....Masha Allah...ibu is abit worried and nervous and excited and all the feeling. Its almost midnight here but i found myself preparing for the big event tomorrow for you adik...get your clothes iron again...prepared the emergency change cloth..pre-prepared the lunch box ..you beg and toys in the beg ( so that you have something familiar close to you) the shoes and etc..ibu really hope ibu will not miss anything out as the bus gonna arrive pretty early 6.30am!. InshaAllah tomorrow ibu will join you to be in the school bus..stay at your school until inshaAllah you finish at 11.50am. Just hope  the school provide place for ibu to stay...else ..we will see how things are.

let just recap adik's milestone ... ibu is very worried on your toilet training...i just hope you are not the only one in the class  that have not yet master the toilet training....we basically get serious again about this toilet training after we come back from summer holiday in jun.so its been only 3months actually.... anyway Allah humma Yassir Wala Tuassir.

Then on your brestfeeding...Alhamdulillah you no longer suckle...the weaning process went smoothly n successfully ibu shall say. Although now and then you still miss susu and wants to see and touch susu. Ibu knows you two have been good friend all these while..so ibu let you have a skin to skin contact with susu..you cheek to my susu and you will say you want to sleep in that position.Ibu will say yes you may but only for a while and you understood. Masha Allah. How the weaning process started?...we started at the beginning of this ramadhan..the first day if im not mistaken..ibu put a plaster on both susu and told you that there is bobo/sakit/hurt....im sorry that ibu have to lie to you and ibu knows its not good to lie especially in Ramadhan..May Allah forgive me. For 4 days ibu let the plaster on and after that ibu decided to take it off but still telling you it hurts whenever you touch them and you believe me:( both you and your brother sympathize for me andfew days after that almost every time before you have nap in the afternoon and sleep at night you will insist that you need to look at susu. Just to know susu's condition seems to calm you down. and of course few week after that until last week you start having the yearning to be close contact with susu and until now you ask to be skin2skin contact with susu. AlhamdulillAllah all oes well with the weaning and you now heavily on 'susu bottle ' and 'chocolate drink' as substitute of my milk.

So inshaAllah again till next entry..need to sleep now so can be fresh for the busy and long day at school im sure.

Driving lesson

Again tadi dapat idea untuk write my experience untuk belajar memandu kat Omanni. Its an experience yg tak best untuk diingati but why not..just as one of not good memories while we are here.

Kami sampai di bumi Oman ni in Nov 2009. And not long after that encik suami ada bagi ura2 untuk beli kereta so taht senang kami nak ke hulu n hilir as he presume he will be very busy always. So  of course  dia mula survey driving school and nak di pendekkan cerita i think in jan 2010 kami ada satu kereta second hand yg dia kata kena beli sebab we might not hv such car with such price. So kami dah ade kete for me to use tapi saya masih tak ade lesen. Sebab Encik suami and his PR officer is also very very busy and suddenly its summer break so he said the process for the licence will start aft that....so the PR who is an omani guy and me n the children went to the driving license dept and get our 'green book' buku utk belajar memandu and of course i opt for manual driving sebab kat msia saya pakai manual car..so konfident i can do it easily. but then one more thing yang terlepas pandang is since i already had a licence before i boleh exclude drum( parking) n slope test but kena dapat verification of my msia lesen from M'sian embassy. So i manage to get verification kat embassy and then of course then verification form ministry of foreign affair oman in which this PR will hv to do it as my husband say the govt dept here do not deal with foreigner unless you are accompanied by your local sponsor (a.k.a local ppl)

Nak di panjangkan cerita this PR guy keep my green book and things relatedf or the verification for soooolong that by the time come he told my husband he cant find my original msian driving lesen. Kalut jugak cos we are not sure sapa yg simpan the lesen..is it me or him...anway i email JPJ kat Msia n depa say boleh suruh keluarga saya tolong  buatkan on my behalf. So there it goes again..about 2-3 weeks for my new  lesen to arrive here. Saya cuak sebab of course i hv to start everything all over again sebab lesen dah pkai yg baru. so again pass the book to the PR guy and this time at least he manage to make it fast i hv all the necassary paper for me to start driving. At last!...but by this 6 month almost past...and one more surprise is that the green book expires in 2weeks time. So encik suami suruh saya cepat2 belaja sebelum buku itu expire....n ofcourse ada lagi satu masalah...sapa mau jaga itu anak kecil berumur 1 tahun 8 bulan?....akhirnya kami dapat  pertolongan from neighbour yg sudi jaga adik for 1 hour. So di satu hari yg cerah..saya start belajar memandu di negara oman ini using a left hand strering car. Cant really recall the experience tapi mmg confius byk as of mana my proper lane esp kat 2 way road n also junction.it went ok..and then bila cikgu belaja tanyer bila next session i say ill call sebab depends if neighbour sudi jaga anak saya. But the day never arrive as neighbour sokmo busy dengan hal sekolah anak2nya sendiri. Sabar je lah...n then green book expires n its already winter holidays n again kami bercuti and Encik suami kata lepas cuti he will look into the matter n this is already Jan 2011. Btw kereta yg encik suami beli  early in the year selalu bagi problem and sudah di jual balik pada nov-dec 2010. huhuhu..tak merasa langsung memandu keretatu.

Dipendekkan cerita lagi..only on the 31 jul 2011 i manage to get a proper driving lesson 1hr per day n 5 days in a week. So sofar ive took about 10  driving lesson and tadaa... on the 14th August yg lalu ive been allocated a slot for test and again tadaaa...i failed. I shall say its a failure yang tak masuk logik akal langsung and menyebabkan saya cannot really express my feeling at the time.......i was tricked by the officer in charge n not even 5 minutes after we left....he ask me to go back to the car park n say i need to learn more...i failed. Dalam hati saya say he is zalim...if he is not..then the system is zalim...anway whoever made the rule that 1st timer cannot pass at the 1st time...due to whatsoever reason ..they are being zalim. Anway..im all over it by now...I can only register again to have next  test in 2 weeks time. So untill then.....maybe ill not cont with the lesson as the Royal Omani Police (a.k.a JPJ) are not interested at all to know  if we know or competent in driving...they are just interested to know what we dont know. Pity Mr Husband as he hav to pay for this ..melayang duit dia dalam rm200 each test...not to the police but to the teacher...i just wonder what type of system is this.

Dah lama ibu nak tulis pasal medication becos of the so many ubat yang ada kat almaritu..n of course becos adik n abang is always sick too...n from my observation ..penyakitnya lebih kurang sama i.e cold n flu n cough..but ubat yg di prescribe mmm..boleh bukak pharmacy...so now i will try to list down jenama ubat n also its foundation usage i.e symptom2 sakit tu..

on antihistamine...ada active ingredients cetrizine, chlorophenaramine, loratadine....so

from wiki : Loratadine is a second-generation antihistamine drug used to treat allergies. In a version named Claritin-D, the substance is combined with pseudoephedrine, a decongestant; this makes it useful for colds as well as allergies, but adds potential side-effects of insomnia, nervousness, and anxiety.Loratadine is indicated for the symptomatic relief of allergy such as hay fever (allergic rhinitis), urticaria (hives), and other skin allergies.^[4] For allergic rhinitis (hay fever), loratadine is effective for both nasal and eye symptoms: sneezing, runny nose, itchy or burning eyes.

Salbutamol (INN) or albuterol (USAN) is a short-acting β₂-adrenergic receptor agonistused for the relief of bronchospasm in conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Salbutamol sulfate is usually given by the inhaled route for direct effect on bronchial smooth muscle. This is usually achieved through a metered dose inhaler (MDI), nebulizer or other proprietary delivery devices (e.g. Rotahaler or Autohaler). In these forms of delivery, the maximal effect of salbutamol can take place within five to twenty minutes of dosing, though some relief is immediately seen. Chlorphenamine (INN) or chlorpheniramine (USAN, former BAN), commonly marketed in the form of chlorphenamine maleate (Histop, Chlor-Trimeton, Piriton, Chlor-Tripolon, HISTA-12), is a first-generation alkylamine antihistamine used in the prevention of thesymptoms of allergic conditions such as rhinitis and urticaria. An expectorant is any agent which dissolves thick mucus and is usually used to help relieve respiratory difficulties. It does so by hydrolyzing glycosaminoglycans, tending to break down/lower the viscosity of mucin-containing body secretions/components. The viscosity of mucous secretions in the lungs is dependent upon the concentrations of mucoprotein. Although it has similarities with a mucolytic agent, the two are totally different types of medicine.

An expectorant (from the Latin expectorare, to expel from the chest) helps bring up mucus and other material from the lungs, bronchi, and trachea. An example of an expectorant is guaifenesin which promotes drainage of mucus from the lungs by thinning the mucus and lubricating the irritated respiratory tract. Sometimes the term "expectorant" is incorrectly extended to any cough medicine.^[1]

An expectorant increases bronchial secretions and mucolytics help loosen thick bronchial secretions. Expectorants reduce the thickness or viscosity of bronchial secretions thus increasing mucus flow that can be removed more easily through coughing, Mucolytics break down the chemical structure of mucus molecules. The mucus becomes thinner and can be removed more easily through coughing

Treatment of coughing

A Cochrane Collaboration meta-analysis of over the counter medicines for acute cough in children and adults found no evidence for the effectiveness of any examined drug other than guaifenesin; evidence for guaifenesin was ambiguous.^[5] Guaifenesin is sometimes combined with dextromethorphan, an antitussive. In normal use this combination is believed^{[by whom?]} to produce fewer, but more productive coughs.

Treatment of asthma

Guaifenesin is effective in the treatment of the thickened bronchial mucosa characteristic of asthma.^{[citation needed]} It works by drawing water into the bronchi. The water both thins mucus and lubricates the airway, facilitating the removal of mucus by coughing.

so in conclusion

normal running nose= anti histamin chlorophenaramine or claritine loratadine

normal mucosy nose = anti histamin  amydramine  or loratadine decongestion + ventolin

last 16 April was Abang 4th birthday then disusuli oleh adik's birthday 27th April..adik is now 2 yrs old.  Been awhile ibu wants to write this entry in order for ibu to keep in memories the achievements u both hv grab in life being 4 n 2 yrs old of age.

in term of milestone of abang... u basically hv achieved what a 4 yrs old boy should hv and of course yg masih menjadi tanda tanya is u will still be wet at night. Abang kalau nak kata dah mmg finish toilet training...but u still wet at night so ibu still hv u on pampers...but last few days u shouw promising development in being dry at night!..InshaAllah this is d time when u will eventually be out from pampers for good.

As for adik....at 2 adik still cannot grab the concept of toilet training....adik been refusing to be brought to toilet for shi shi ..but last few days adik seems to grab the concept of shi shi when ibu ask you to shi shi n u did...but not in the toilet. It still a good job adik!...maybe its becos u did not hv a good potty that u refuse to be toilet trainlah..ibu rmber abang at this age did not use pampers already in d day..he can tell that he need to go toilet...but of course accident still happen..:)

as for academic....mmmmm abang can write ABC-Z , 123- 30 and arabic wahid isnan salasa n etc..alif ba ta you hv manage to read n recognise n write all of them. you even know all the fathah..basically u finisnh your qiraati1 at age of 4..n you start it when u were 3yr 8month...in about 4month u manage to grab the concept of the sound of fathah....but this gratitude goes to abla zakiah at school:).. now u r starting your qiraati2 with strengthening the concept of kasrah....n soon we will go to dammah n then tanwin. u basically can read the huruf hijaiyah that are connected...bravo Abang!..ibu really wish u can finish this qiraati soon before u start your new school semester in september..ibu will try to teach u this so that it will be easier for you to do hafazan....at school they hv almost completed juzuk amman n soon by end of semester this 1 jun 2011 im sure they hv covered the whole of juzuk amma. Abang so far seems forgetful always although u did well when they 1st teach at school the surah...i guess ibu didnt do much murajaah at home...this too inshaAllah by sept 2011 when u go for your KG2 ...u hv hafaz all the juzuk amma.

Still on abang schievements...u can actually write!...all those ABC n 123 n alif ba ta..but some incidences yes you do write them terbalik..hahaha...ibu rember u wrote 33... 7 out of 10 boxes you manage to do it easily as if closing your eye..n then suddenly the last 3 boxes..u start writing árabicáin'.....baba say its normal...n ibu thought so too...:)..n last week u did your homework without ibu having to sit n do it wit you...a very big achievemnet considering abang is always on the move when ibu left u unattended even for 1 sec!..Very big Bravo abang....Abang too just love to do homeworks.....n now ibu can do some negotiation with abang in which ibu let abnag watch cartoon then abang will agree to do murajaa...n then cartoon again..n then murajaa again...good abang..inshaAllah ibu will keep it up main tarik tali with abang..else abang is just lost with cartoon  n no interest at all wit murajaa.

 Abang lughatul arabia... ibu shall say superb!..compared when u just started 6 month ago in which u basically hv 0 of arabic language...n now u speak superb..ibu cant understand your conversation wit baba but  ibu would love very much join in too and of course to see you communicating wit ur friends at school

As for adik...before he turns 2..he can basically sing ABC...hapy hapy i will be...n of course the famous letter Qu......i bu will rember this songlah....inshaAllah will try to record them..n adik love the song of jumpstart...go go go go to school ....adik also knows twinkle2...little star....u will sing like a amon sky...skyyy...now adik can  join the song of alif ba ta ....n of course the famous arba',.... n u hv add up sitta saba these last few days....Bravo adik......n adik kalau menconteng no 1..everytime abang hv homework u too will want to color color..n of course u love to scribble wit pencil color the floor....nasib baik it can easily be clean wit water...but the one on the wall pun banyak jugak...hmm...soon ibu will buy paint to cover them..ahaks...

both of you just love Dora the explorer...and ibu approve of team umizumi...special agent oso, mickey mouse clubhouse n of course chloe's closet .......the rest mmmm not so good but we hv no choice...
at the time of this entry..adik is infected wit some kind of virus that make u hv low grade fever n watery stool...ibu suspect its infection in d stomch...as the rest seems fine..no cold n flu....sabarlah ya anakku...as sometime u seems to b in pain ....May Allah take away the pain n heal u good in no time..Ameen.

N yesterday when ibu went to the Indonesian Embassy and meet wit this very gracious n polite officer..i realy wish that u both someday will hv such manners n courtesy...but ibu knows that its me who hv to start first! :)..I love u both..and ibu read somewhere that 'if Allah intended good in the family ..He will make them courteous n polite people"Masha Allah...May we all become one..Ameen
